Noble Scores Second Goal of the Season Against Saint Anselm

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Freshman Sincere Noble (Baltimore, Md.) scored his second goal of the season to tie the game in the second half, but Saint Anselm scored a late tally to pull ahead and secure a 2-1 win on Saturday at Melucci Field.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Hawks pulled ahead on a penalty kick in the 18th minute, taking a 1-0 advantage.
  • Noble found the back of the net in the 71st minute to even the score at 1-1. Fabrizzio Jaramillo (Lynwood, Calif.) assisted the goal. 
  • Saint Anselm then went back in front 3-2 at 79:15 on a Ryan Jacob goal. 
  • The Wildcats absorbed several Saint Anselm chances in the opening 12 minutes while also creating a corner and an Afonso Lino (Lisbon, Portugal) shot that was saved at 9:24. 
  • Daemen responded quickly after the home side's first goal, with two corners in less than a minute, including a Keegan Herrmann (Wilson, N.Y.) shot that was saved, and later added a Noble attempt on goal in the 26th minute.
  • Cristopher Vasquez (Sunnyside, N.Y.) kept the margin at one with saves in the 23rd and 29th minutes.
  • The Wildcats generated more chances at the end of the first, including Afonso Abreu's (Leiria, Portugal) shot and a corner in the 41st minute before the half ended 1-0.
  • Vasquez made five saves in the opening 13 minutes of the second half, helping the Wildcats stay in the game. 
  • Daemen also had chances from Tim Florek (Marburg, Germany) and Noble before the equalizer, then had Jaramillo send a shot wide left in the 77th minute
GAME NOTES
  • Noble scored the Wildcats' goal, finished with three shots, and put two on frame
  •  Jaramillo recorded the assist and added one shot
  • Vasquez made eight saves in 90 minutes, including six in the second half.
  • The Wildcats finished with nine shots, putting four on frame.
  • Daemen had four corner kicks
