GENEVA, Ohio - The Daemen College women's track and field team competed in their second indoor meet ever today by partaking in the Collegiate Season Opener event hosted by Spire Institute.
The event was dominated by athletes from the University of Cincinnati of NCAA Division I.
Leading the way for Daemen today was freshman
Morgan Stefanik (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post West) who took third in the triple jump (8.80 meters), sixth in the long jump (4.12 meters) and fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.50 seconds).
Sophomore
Jillian Sosnowski (Depew, N.Y./Depew) bested Stefanik in the long jump (4.15 meters) and took fourth in that event.
Freshman
Brooke Nolan (Depew, N.Y./Depew) took sixth in the 800 meter run (2:42.02) while freshman
Casey Oliphant (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) finished seventh in the 200 meter dash (26.82 seconds).
