ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's track and field team competed at the Orange and Brown Invitational hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology at Gordon Field House today.
Freshman long distance runner
Jordan Weir (Cato, N.Y./Cato-Meridian) was the top performer for Daemen once again as she took a seventh place finish in the one-mile run with a time of 5:28.76.
Also with a top-10 finish was junior thrower
Ashley Pinette (Rowley, Mass./Westfield State University) who sent the shot put flying for 10.65 meters which was good for eighth place in the event.
The Wildcats also got a pair of top-15 finishes from
Alexandra Pace (Williamsville, N.Y./Amherst) and
Stephanie Czaja (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) who came in at 12th and 13th, respectively, in the 500 meter dash.

Next up for the Wildcats is a trip to the East Coast Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 23 in Huntington, N.Y. As a provisional member of the conference, Daemen will not be eligible for the team championship at the event, although Wildcat athletes can be crowned as champions in their individual events.
