HUNTINGTON, N.Y. - Freshman long distance runner
Jordan Weir (Cato, N.Y./Cato-Meridian) and junior thrower
Ashley Pinette (Rowley, Mass./Westfield State University) both set personal records as the Daemen College women's track and field team competed today at the East Coast Conference Indoor Championships held at St. Anthony's High School.
Weir, who starred for DC's cross country squad in the fall, came in fourth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:03.59.
Pinette, meanwhile, had a toss of 10.75 meters in the shot put to place seventh.
Ally Pajak (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca East), a junior middle distance runner, placed sixth in the one-mile run with a time of 6:16.76.
As a team, the Wildcats, who sent an abbreviated squad to the event, finished in seventh place out of seven competing teams. The University of the District of Columbia racked up 151 team points to earn the Conference Championship.

Today's meet concludes Daemen's first-ever indoor season. The Wildcats get their outdoor season underway on March 30 at the University of Rochester Spring Invitational.
