SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's tennis team fell to 0-10 in its inaugural season today following a 9-0 defeat to LeMoyne College of NCAA Division II.
The host Dolphins improved to 2-6 on the season with the win. The match was both teams' first match of the spring season and Daemen's first since Oct. 16.
Freshman
Shaylah Iverson (Canandaigua, N.Y./Naples) won the first set of her match at No. 1 singles but eventually fell to LeMoyne's Rebecca Black (2-6, 6-0, 6-3).
The Wildcats will look to break through for the first win in team history when they travel to Edinboro University on Saturday (Mar. 2) for a 4 p.m. match.
