COMPLETE RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's track and field was back in action today, competing at the Roc City Classic hosted by Nazareth College.

Freshman Jordan Weir (Cato, N.Y./Cato-Meridian) took fourth place in the 1500 meter run to lead a quintet of Wildcat runners who scored top-five finishes today.  Weir's time of 5:15.63 was just 10 ticks off the pace set by race winner Lauren Jamieson of Nazareth.

Sophomore Erin Hannah (Newfane, N.Y./Newfane) took fifth in the 1500 meters (5:34.09).  Her fifth place finish was matched by teammates Alexandra Pace (Williamsville, N.Y./Amherst) and Morgan Stefanik (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post West).  Pace earned a fifth place finish in the 800 meter run (2:41.10) and Stefanik did so in the 100 meter hurdles (17.62).

Also on the track, freshman Amanda Rusek (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois Central) took sixth in both the 200 meter dash (28.07) and 400 meter dash (1:07.64).

In field events, junior thrower Ashley Pinette (Rowley, Mass./Westfield State University) was once again the top performer for coach Jessica Gorski's squad.  Pinette had a toss of 10.36 meters in the shot put which was good for second place.  She added a fifth place finish in the discus throw as well (30.48 meters).

The Wildcats return to Rochester for a third consecutive weekend when they partake in the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, April 13.
