WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.-  The Daemen College men's tennis team fought hard to the very end but fell 5-4 in a close match against Oswego State at Miller Tennis Center tonight. Oswego State improved to 2-4 with the victory. 

Daemen's No. 1 doubles team of Gary Arruda (Brampton, Ont./St. Augustine's) and Gregory Lowe (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) picked up a 8-1 victory and accounted for three of Daemen's four points in the match. Lowe bested Oswego's Sam Moores 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles while Arruda defeated Sam Tosti 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. 

Sophomore Alex White (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) also contributed a point for the Wildcats by downing Sam Corgies 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

Daemen (3-8) will be traveling to Erie, PA tomorrow to face off against Mercyhurst College at 1 p.m.
