WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.- The Daemen College men's tennis team dropped 9-0 decision to East Coast Conference competitor New York Institute of Technology who were picked first in the ECC Preseason Poll.
With the loss, Daemen falls to 4-11 on the season while the Bears improved to 12-5 on the year. Despite the result, it was a positive step for the program, according to head coach
Stephen Beatty.
"We had a tough match with NYIT however we competed and played our best match all season," Beatty said. "This is by far the best team in the conference and was a great learning experience for the team."
Daemen will close out their weekend tomorrow (Mar. 30) as they host Alfred University to take on the Saxons at 7:30 p.m. at the Miller Tennis Center courts.
