Women's Tennis Falls To Edinboro

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's tennis team fell 9-0 today at the Park Country Club courts to Edinboro University of NCAA Division II and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

"We played a tough team today but I am happy with the progress that both teams have made all year," said head coach Stephen Beatty. "The women are looking forward to the 1st annual Daemen/Medaille Invitiational Tournament this weekend to wrap up a successful 2nd year."

Freshman Brianna Fiorita (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara-Wheatfield)put up a battle in the No. 3 singles slot with Edinboro's RyAnne Baldwin, but fell 7-5, 6-2.

The Wildcats dropped to 6-14 on the season while Edinboro improved to 11-12 on the year with the win. Daemen finishes out their season with the 1st annual Daemen/Medaille Invitiational Tournament this weekend at the Miller Tennis Center courts.
