BOX SCOREWILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's tennis team fell in their home opening match today at Park Country Club following a 9-0 defeat to long time rival and East Coast Conference competitor, Roberts Wesleyan College. With the loss, Daemen falls to 0-4 (0-3 ECC) on the season while Roberts captured their first win of the year improving to 1-3 (1-2 ECC).
"Despite the scores I felt that the switches we made in doubles were a positive step for the team," said head coachÂ
Stephen Beatty. "I think that this is a good change for us and we will improve all around. Â We have a busy weekend ahead of us and I am looking forward to continuing to work together as a team."
The Wildcats will look to break through for the first win of the season when they host conference opponents Molloy College (Sept. 12) and Queens College (Sept. 13) over the weekend.
