BOX SCOREWILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's tennis team claimed their second win of the season while getting revenge with a hard-fought 5-4 decision over SUNY-Oswego Lakers of NCAA Division III and the Eastern College Athletic Conference at the Park Country Club Courts. The Wildcats lost a 5-4 match to Oswego last season but are now tied 1-1 in the series with the Lakers.

Daemen took two out of the three doubles matches and three out of six in singles competition. The pivotal match was at No. 1 doubles with
Sarah Crissy (Tonawanda, N.Y./Kenmore East) and
Hayle Scanlan (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian). Â The two started down 4-1 and fought back to lead 7-4 then ultimately collected a 9-8 victory against Oswego's Alicia Kreamer and Lauren Stall.
Gretchen Ringler (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) and
Tianna Washington (North Chili, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) also teamed up to overcome Alli Ullrich and Kelsey Wilson 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
In addition to doubles play, Scanlan  picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win against Stall in the No. 1 singles slot while Ringler beat her opponent  6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
The Wildcats are back in action on Sept. 19 when they host SUNY-Fredonia for a 4 p.m. match at the Park Country Club courts.
