HOPKINTON, N.H. - The Daemen College men's cross country team concluded its 2015 season today by finishing 17th out of 28 competing teams at the NCAA Division II East Region Championship held at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds.
American International College (45 points) ran away with the team title, placing three runners in the top four finishers, and all five of their scorers in 25th place or better. Â AIC's John Chirchir topped the field of 189 entrants, completing the 10K race in 30:48.99.
Daemen was led today by the duo of senior
Jeremy Rushok (Akron, N.Y./Buffalo State College) and sophomore
Kevin Roginson (Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North). Â Rushok, competing in the final race of his collegiate career, finished in 45th place with a time of 33:15.85, the 11th consecutive race that he's come in as Daemen's top scorer. Â Roginson was not far behind, coming in 47th place with a time of 33:20.05.

Joseph Tracy (Malone, N.Y./Franklin), sophomoe
David DelValle (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca West) and freshman
Timothy Poole (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) rounded out Daemen's five scorers this afternoon. Â Tracy and DelValle ran neck-and-neck, finishing 138th (36:39.96) and 139th (36:41.38), respectively. Â Poole finished in 153rd with a time of 37:05.68.
