Remainder Of 2018-19 Men's Golf Season Suspended

AMHERST, N.Y. - Daemen College will suspend the remainder of its 2018-19 men's golf season director of athletics Traci Murphy announced today, citing insufficient roster numbers to meet sport sponsorship requirements.

"It's an unfortunate situation that we're in with our men's golf program," said Murphy. "We've approached the low roster issue from a number of different angles, and we've made every effort to try to salvage the season, but at this point it's just not feasible for us to do so."

The men's golf team was slated to partake in three tournaments over a 10-day span next month. The team will resume activities beginning in the fall 2019 semester.
