AMHERST, N.Y. - Six different players scored as Daemen College erupted for a 7-0 victory over visiting Urbana University today in non-conference women's soccer action. HIGHLIGHTS

- The Wildcats poured it on in the second, getting goals by five different players.
- Veterans Lindsay Ciaramella (St. George, Ont.) and Sarah Kenny (Perth, Australia) notched goals within 42 seconds of one another, making the count 4-0 less than 10 minutes into the second half. - Junior goalkeeper Maddie Flores (Seattle, Wash.) made nine saves to pick up the fifth shutout of her career.
HEAD COACH DAN DOLAN POST-GAME COMMENTS
"Second half, we had everyone contributing. We had some really nice plays, some good 45 balls, balls across the six, beat players one-v-one. So, a lot of confidence out of our team, individually and as a team. Again, we're pretty excited to get going for the second game."
GAME NOTES
- Boyar's two tallies today give her 39 for her career; she stands 15 shy of the program record for career goals (54) set by Kim Walker from 2003-06
- It also marked the 10th multi-goal game of Boyar's career; Daemen is 10-0 in those contests, and 18-5-1 when she scores at least once
- Boyar's second-half assist was the 89th point of her career; with one more point she'll join Walker and Samantha Engel as the only players in program history to reach 90.
- Ciaramella's goal was the fourth of her career, and Daemen is 4-0 all-time when she scores.
- Daemen outshot Urbana 24-14 overall and 15-9 in shots on goal.
- Daemen is now unbeaten (2-0-1) in their last three season openers; the Wildcats are 8-2-1 in season openers under Dolan who took the reins in 2009; it also marked Dolan' 89th win as head coach.
- Daemen's previous largest margin of victory in a season opener was an 8-2 win over SUNY Canton in 2011.
