ROBERT J. KANE INVITATIONAL  — FULL RESULTS

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's track and field team continued its 2021-22 indoor season by taking part in the Robert J. Kane Invitational held today on the campus of Cornell University.

The Daemen women entered the event ranked seventh in the initial regional merit rating index for the 2021-22 season published earlier this week by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Today's meet feature a mixture of NCAA Division I, II and III schools. The field consisted of Cornell, Syracuse, Buffalo, Binghamton, Daemen, Mansfield, Buffalo State, Manhattanville, and King's (Pa.). The Wildcats were making their first appearance at the Kane Invitational since the 2016-17 season.

A strong team showing in both the 3,000 meters and the 1,000 meters highlighted the day for Daemen, as the Wildcats placed two runners among the top-five finishers in both races. Freshman Marcy Colca (Getzville, N.Y.) and graduate student Kassandra Nolet (Fort Erie, Ont.) placed third and fourth place respectively in the 3,000 meters, while senior Hannah Thomas (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) and sophomore Camryn Bailey (Geneva, N.Y.) finished third and fourth respectively in the 1,000 meters.
