BACK IN ACTION
The Daemen University women's bowling team returns to Western New York to compete in the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open, hosted by Niagara University, from Nov. 2 through Nov. 3.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats finished in 23rd place at the Destination Florida Tournament and defeated Florida A&M, 4-0, in their final match. The victory against Florida A&M marked the first 4-0 Baker Format best-of-seven victory for Daemen since Feb. 20, 2022, when they swept New Jersey City during the Wildcat Division II Invitational. Jacksonville State emerged as tournament champions with Vanderbilt and Nebraska rounding out the top three. Seven of the Wildcats 11 opponents they faced were either ranked National Tenpin Coaches Association Preseason Coaches' Poll and/or have appeared in a national championship.

FAMILIAR FACES
Four of the nine opponents Daemen will face this weekend have been or are members of the East Coast Conference. The Wildcats will play Bryant University, who topped the 2024-25 East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Preseason Coaches' Poll with 76 points and seven of nine possible first-place votes. The Cats will also take on local rival Roberts Wesleyan University in their fourth match of the tournament, before facing D'Youville University on Nov. 3. This season, the Wildcats are 2-0 this season and 22-6 all-time against the Saints. Daemen will also face former ECC now turned NEC members Mercyhurst University as well. Ealier this year, the Wildcats and Lakers faced-off at the Mercyhurst Invitational on Oct. 5, with the hosts coming out on top, 964-886.

MORE RANKED TESTS
The Wildcats will play four opponents who were ranked National Tenpin Coaches Association Preseason Coaches' Poll.  The Cats will first face RV Bryant before taking on No. 14 Merrimack for the first time in program history when the two sides meet on Nov. 3. Last year, Merrimack went 43-25 and advanced to the NCAA Championship where they eventually fell to Vanderbilt. Daemen will also face RV Mercyhurst and #25 Niagara for the second time this season after battling them at the Mercyhurst Invitational.

WILDCATS IN THE POLLS
The Daemen University women's bowling team was tabbed fourth in the 2024-25 East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced on Sept. 30. It marks the third straight year that the Wildcats were predicted to finish in the top half of the league. It also marks the first time the Wildcats have been tabbed to finish in fourth since the 2018-19 campaign. Bryant University topped the poll with 76 points and seven of nine possible first-place votes. Kutztown University was tabbed second with 66 points and one first-place vote while Molloy University rounded out the top three with 60 points. Daemen was named fourth with 51 points and a first-place vote while local rival Roberts Wesleyan University rounded out the top five with 48 points. D'Youville University (40 points), Adelphi University (30), St. Anselm College (23) and St. Thomas Aquinas College (11) rounded out the remainder of the poll.
