A LOOK BACK AT LAST WEEKEND
The Daemen men (2-4) are coming off a thrilling come-from-behind 4-3 win at Bloomsburg University this past Saturday. The Wildcats trailed 3-0 and began the comeback after sophomore Alex Lumanog posted a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles. Freshman Lucas Garcia, who joined the program this semester, picked up his first career singles win and made the score 3-2 after he posted a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles. The Wildcats evened the match after freshman Lasse Mergens rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. The match came down to No. 6 singles, and graduate student Zachary Laplante secured the comeback after he posted a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 win. The Daemen women also played at Bloomsburg on Saturday and dropped to 5-8 on the year following a 6-1 loss to the Huskies. Daemen's No. 1 doubles team of senior Frida Rubio and junior Kitsa Scime outlasted BU's Lexi Quackenbush and Jen McDonald, 7-6 (7-3) to improve to 9-7 on the year. Scime posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles to earn Daemen's lone point in the match. Scime improved to 12-4 on the season. She ranks fifth among Daemen's all-time leaders in career singles wins (35) and is now 30-11 in her last 41 singles matches dating back to the end of her freshman season.

SCOUTING MERCYHURST
Mercyhurst is a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). The MU men (2-1) have played three matches this spring, suffering a 4-3 loss to Walsh and posting wins over Salem (4-3) and Hillsdale (5-2). The Lakers went 11-8 last year and advanced to the championship match of the PSAC Tournament, where they suffered a 4-0 loss to Edinboro. The Lakers received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament and suffered a 4-0 loss to Fairmont State in the opening round.

The Mercyhurst women stand at 4-1 on the year. The Lakers opened the spring season with a 4-3 win over Walsh, before suffering a 7-0 loss at Division I Buffalo on Feb. 10. The Lakers are riding a three-match winning streak, having defeated West Virginia State (7-0), Salem (7-0) and Hillsdale (5-2).
