ON THE PITCH
The Daemen University men's soccer team will look for their third consecutive win as they face Saint Michael's college at home on Sept. 15 at 11 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Graduate student Dennis Montero Guerrero (Weingarten, Germany) scored twice in the first half to propel Daemen University to a 2-1 road win against Lock Haven University on Sept. 11. The Weingarten, Germany, native netted both of his goals in the first half with his second being the game-winner against the Bald Eagles. Even with a late second half goal from the hosts, ECC Honor Roll honoree Arturo Bustamante (South Gate, Calif.) stopped all three shots he faced the remainder of the contest to seal the win.

HONOR ROLL
Bustamante and senior Emmanuel Perez (Los Angeles, Calif.) were each named to the ECC Men's Soccer Honor Roll for the Week on Sept. 9 following their performances the past week. Bustamante went 1-1 on the week, earning his first win of the 2024 campaign in a 2-1 victory over Walsh on Saturday with a career-high 10 saves and a .909 save percentage. He had also made five saves against Malone (Sept. 5) earlier in the week. For Perez, he scored the game-winning goal for Daemen in a 2-1 win over Walsh on on Sept. 7.

HOT FOOT
Montero Guerrero has found his form, registering six points (3G, 0A) across his last two contests. His two-goal performance against Lock Haven on Sept. 11 marked the first time in his collegiate career that he scored two-or-more goals in a contest. His three total goals are also tied for third in the ECC with Miguel Soto Gonzalez (Queens) and Sean Paulo Salguerio (Molloy).

THE MAN BETWEEN THE STICKS
Bustamante currently leads the ECC in total saves with 19 and ranks second for saves-per-game with an average of 6.33 through three starts. The South Gate, Calif., native made a career-high 10 saves against Walsh on Sept. 7, beating his previous record of eight which was set on Sept. 13, 2023 against Gannon.
SCOUTING SAINT MICHAEL'S (2-1)
