Women's Tennis Defeated By Ithaca

Box Score ITHACA, N.Y — Daemen women's tennis fell 5-2 at Ithaca on Saturday afternoon.

The No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches were tight, but the Bombers pulled away with them, winning 6-4 (No. 1) and 7-5 (No. 2), respectively. Ithaca also won the third doubles match 6-1, taking a 1-0 advantage in the match.

During singles play, four of the matches ended in three sets. Daemen picked up a win at the No. 1 spot from Marley Conover (San Luis Obispo, Calif.), 6-3, 0-6, 10-7, and at the No. 4 slot from Bella Bjerkan (Elmhurst, Ill.), 6-2, 6-2. Ithaca won on courts two and three. The Bombers also earned victories at the No. 5 and No. 6 slots in three-set thrillers.
