BACK ON THE COURT
The Daemen University women's tennis team plays two road matches this weekend, first heading to the nation's capital to play District of Columbia at 12 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats then travel to Oswego for a 12 p.m. match on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats lost three non-conference matches last week, first dropping 7-0 decisions to East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg last Wednesday and Thursday. The Wildcats then fell 5-2 at Ithaca last Saturday. The Bobmers won all three doubles matches, despite some close matches. During singles play, four of the matches ended in three sets. Daemen picked up a win at the No. 1 spot from Marley Conover (San Luis Obispo, Calif.), 6-3, 0-6, 10-7, and at the No. 4 slot from Bella Bjerkan (Elmhurst, Ill.), 6-2, 6-2. It marked the second singles win of the season for both players. Ithaca won on courts two, three, five, and six to secure the victory.

GETTING ON THE BOARD
Several Wildcats earned their first wins of the season against Fredonia on Oct 5. Lilly Goodemote (Sauquoit, N.Y.), Carly Armitage (Rochester, N.Y.), Ashley Bonilla (Flushing, N.Y.), and Dania Mehani (Amherst, N.Y.) all picked up their first singles wins of the season. Nadja Emmendorfer (Clarence, N.Y.) improved to 2-1 in singles, while Stephanie Baier (Boise, Idaho) and Bjerkan also earned wins.  Goodemote and Mehani notched their first doubles victory of the year.
SCOUTING DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (2-1, 0-0 ECC)
The Firebirds are playing their first ECC match of the season, having competed against Elizabeth City St. (W, 6-1), Jefferson (L, 5-2), and Millersville (W, 6-1) in non-conference tilts.
