HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Penmen then pulled ahead 2-0 when Sneha Limbu found the back of the net in the 32nd minute, assisted by Georgia Greene.
  • The second half began with a crucial momentum shift for Daemen as Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) scored in the 48th minute, assisted by Marisa Rickard (North Tonawanda, N.Y.), narrowing the deficit to one.
  • Daemen leveled the match in the 66th minute when Taylor Fiegel (Lockport, N.Y.) found the back of the net, with an assist from Wright.
  • Building on this momentum, Miranto struck again in the 75th minute to give Daemen the lead at 3-2.
  • The opening half began with Daemen's defense repeatedly tested, as SNHU initiated several early attacks. Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) made crucial saves, including stops against Emma Noheimer and Carly Schofield, to keep the home team in contention.
  •  Daemen responded with attempts from Kaitlyn Wright (Geneva, N.Y.) and Macayla Hansen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.), but goalkeeper Isabel Hughes denied their efforts.
  • Despite more Wildcat efforts to equalize in the first, including shots from Fiegel and Brianne Repolio (Haddon Heights, N.J.), they could not capitalize.
  • The Penmen pressured hard to find an equalizer, but Daemen's defense held firm.
  • Schultz made some key saves down the stretch, including a diving stop on a one-on-one chance with just under three minutes left.
