The win was the Wildcats' sixth straight, as they improved to 7-2, including a 3-0 mark in the ECC. HIGHLIGHTS Daemen took an early lead with a goal by Wright, assisted by Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.), in the second minute. Miranto extended Daemen's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 32nd minute. Ava Lekanides scored for Queens in the 63rd minute, assisted by Goicochea, narrowing the gap to 2-1. Daemen responded in the 74th minute, as Wright capitalized on a pass from Miranto to extend the lead to 3-1. Early in the first, the Knights pressed forward with multiple attempts, but Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) made key saves, including one in the 8th minute by Grace Kinney. Wright had an opportunity to add one in the 21st minute, but her shot was saved. Queens continued to apply pressure, but Schultz's saves, including one in the 42nd minute from Avery Shreffler, kept the visitors scoreless. Daemen led 2-0 at the end of the first half. The Knights had multiple chances early in the second half as Schultz saved two shots on goal in quick succession, with Mia Goicochea and Jenna Rosenberger testing her in the 50th and 52nd minutes. Daemen's defense remained resolute, with Schultz making crucial saves, and the home team secured a 3-1 lead by the game's end GAME NOTES Wright logged the second multi-goal game this season and the third of her career. Schultz made ten saves, including six in the first half. She logged her fourth game with double-digit saves this season. Miranto tallied a team-best four points (1G, 2A), marking her fourth game with four points this season. She also scored her sixth game-winning goal of the season. Macayla Hansen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) fired two shots in the contest, putting one on target.
