The contest marks Daemen's fourth road match this season, with the Wildcats holding a 1-2 away record so far. LAST TIME OUT Daemen fell 2-1 to Goldey-Beacom at home on Sunday after the Lightning scored two second-half goals. Larry Noel (Nassau, Bahamas) scored with an assist from Yves Sisse (Phoenix, Ariz.) in the 44th minute, giving the home team a 1-0 lead just before halftime. The assist marked Sisse's first point as a Wildcat. Goldey-Beacom tied the game at 1-1 in the 74th minute, then took the lead in the 82nd minute. Noel had a chance for another goal in the 80th minute, but his shot was off target. Daemen also had a corner in the 87th minute but could not capitalize. Freshman goalkeeper Dylan Delaney stopped four shots in the match. The Wildcats also fell 5-0 to St. Anselm in their home opener. Keegan Herrmann (Wilson, N.Y.) and Thomas Wikan (Inderøy, Norway) each had two shots, with one on target.? RACKING UP THE SAVES Through the first five games, Delaney is tied for first in the East Coast Conference in saves (23) and sits fourth in saves per game (4.60). The freshman stopped nine shots against St. Anselm on Friday and also made five saves against Saint Michael's on Sept. 10. IN THE RANKINGS Stevie Varallo (Wilson, N.Y.) has logged two assists, tying him for first in the ECC. Additionally, Noel's two goals are tied for third in the conference. The Wildcats also sit tied for fourth in the conference in assists, having logged five helpers. SCOUTING FRANKLIN PIERCE (1-1-1) FPU is coming off a 1-1 draw at home against No. 11 Felician. The Ravens' other win came in their season opener, with a 1-0 over Bridgeport on Sept. 4. Andy Chisholm and Julen Martin each have one goal for the Ravens, while Joao Araujo has logged one assist. SERIES HISTORY Last season, the teams met for the first time, with Ravens earning a 1-0 victory in Amherst, N.Y., after scoring in the 79th minute. UP NEXT The Wildcats return home for their ECC opener Saturday, welcoming St. Thomas Aquinas to Royal Park for a 2:30 p.m. game.
