The Wildcats scored three goals in the second half to secure the victory, with two coming from Kaitlyn Wright (Geneva, N.Y.). HIGHLIGHTS Post took an early lead with a goal by Emely Velasquez in the 51st minute, capitalizing on Daemen's corner kick opportunities. Daemen quickly answered, equalizing in the 59th minute as Wright scored with assists from Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) and Victoria DiCarlo (North Tonawanda, N.Y.). Wright struck again in the 67th minute, putting Daemen ahead 2-1 with Miranto providing another assist. Daemen extended its lead to 3-1 in the 76th minute through a goal by Miranto, assisted by Marisa Rickard (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) and Chloé Cardone (Hilton, N.Y.). Post responded with a penalty kick goal by Alyanna Beaudoin in the 80th minute, closing the gap to 3-2. Goalkeeper Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) was tested early, saving four shots in the first eight minutes, including attempts from Jordyn Calas and Emely Velasquez. Wright forced a save from Post's goalkeeper, Aryn Nisbet, in the 21st minute, the Wildcats' first shot on target. Both teams continued to trade chances, with Post's Audrey Cadman and Miranto each having shots saved in the period's closing minutes. The first half concluded with both teams scoreless, maintaining a 0-0 tie heading into the break. GAME NOTES Wright logged the second multi-goal game of her career. She led the team with four shots, three of which were on target. Miranto tallied a team-best four points (1G, 2A), marking her third game with four points this season. She also scored her fourth game-winning goal of the season. Cardone and DiCarlo each added an assist to bolster the team's offensive efforts. Cardone's helper was her first point of the season. Schultz made eight saves, six of which came in the first half, to secure the victory. The Wildcats' victory was their fourth straight. UP NEXT Daemen returns to ECC play Wednesday, heading to Roberts Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. contest.
