BACK TO IT
The Daemen women's tennis team will take the court for the first time this spring on Saturday, facing West Liberty at 6 p.m in a home match inside the Miller Tennis Center in Williamsville. Daemen will be playing its final season as a member of the ECC this spring after it was announced that the men's and women's tennis programs will join the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) as associate members beginning in the 2026-27 academic year.

FALL RECAP
The Wildcats went 3-7 during the fall campaign, including a 0-4 mark in East Coast Conference matches. Daemen earned wins over Nazareth (5-2), Fredonia (7-0), and Oswego State (7-0). Bella Bjerkan (Elmhurst, Ill.) and Marley Conover (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) both posted 4-7 singles records during the fall. The doubles team of Conover and Stephanie Baier (Boise, Idaho) led the way with a 4-7 mark.

GETTING ON THE BOARD
During the fall, several Wildcats earned their first wins of the season against Fredonia on Oct. 5. Lily Goodemote (Sauquoit, N.Y.), Carly Armitage (Rochester, N.Y.), Ashley Bonilla (Flushing, N.Y.), and Dania Mehani (Amherst, N.Y.) all picked up their first singles wins of the season. Nadja Emmendorfer (Clarence, N.Y.) improved to 2-1 in singles, while Baier and Bjerkan also earned wins. Goodemote and Mehani notched their first doubles victory of the year.

SCHEDULE OUTLOOK
Following Saturday's match, the Wildcats square off against St. Lawrence at home before heading to Saint Michael's for another non-conference tilt. ECC play starts with back-to-back road matches at Queens and St. Thomas Aquinas. Daemen then welcomes Millersville for its non-conference finale. After a road match at crosstown rival D'Youville, Daemen concludes the regular season with a home match against the University of the District of Columbia.
SCOUTING WEST LIBERTY
The Hilltoppers also kick off their spring season this weekend, taking on Penn State Behrend in Erie on Friday before heading to Williamsville. WLU played two dual matches during the fall season, including a 6-1 defeat to Washington and Jefferson and a 4-3 loss to Seton Hill. The Hilltoppers finished 5-9 last season, including a 2-5 Mountain East record.

SERIES HISTORY
The teams will be meeting for just the second time. They last played in the fall of 2014, when the Hilltoppers earned a 9-0 win on their home court.
