Last season at the ECC Championship, the men finished eighth, highlighted by a gold medal performance by Adam Kamagate (Hilton, N.Y.) in the 60m hurdles, earning him First Team All-ECC honors. Junior CJ Johnson (Baltimore, Md.) finished third in the one-mile run with a time of 4:31.56 to land on the second team. Fellow junior Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio) earned Second Team All-ECC after placing third in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:04.30. Additionally, Brad Tobin (Hamburg, N.Y.) placed sixth in the 1,000-meter run at the ECC meet. The women finished tied for ninth at the 2025 indoor championships. Junior Kristen Oliver (Massena, N.Y.) secured All-ECC First Team honors after finishing second in the weight throw with a final distance of 14.93 meters. Senior Patsy Oberholzer (Greece, N.Y.) placed fourth in the women's 5,000 meters with a final time of 19:13.7, earning second team accolades. Fellow senior Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) finished 11th in the long jump with a final distance of 4.84 meters. The Wildcats had their final tune-ups for the ECC Championships two weeks ago, competing at two meets. A group of athletes competed at the YSU Mid Major Invitational on Jan. 30. Leading the way for the men was Johnson, who placed seventh in the 5000m run with a personal-best time, and Ibrahim Hakizimana (Rochester, N.Y.), who took seventh in the 1000m. Johnson finished the 500m in 15:17.18, shaving 35 seconds off his previous best time and moving up to second in program history in the event. In the 1000m, Hakizimana finished in 2:35.32, earning him seventh place. For the women, Oberholzer placed ninth in the 5000m, while Lia Brasacchio (Victor, N.Y.) earned a PR in the 500m. Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) finished tied for 12th in the long jump. Oberholzer crossed the finish line in 18:49.55 during the 5000m. Brasacchio placed 12th in the 500m dash with a personal-best time of 1:22.93. In the jump pit, Savage finished tied for 12th in the long jump with a leap of 5.12m. Both teams also competed at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup on Jan. 31. Kamagate led the way for the Wildcat men, finishing second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.65 seconds. Owen Dernbach (Alden, N.Y.) finished 11th in the 60m dash, finishing in 7.47 seconds. Hakizimana took 15th in the 800m run, finishing with a personal-best time of 1:59.26. For the women, Mia Wright (Liverpool, N.Y.) finished ninth in the 200m dash with a time of 27.23 seconds. In the throw pit, Julia Petry (Batavia, N.Y.) took ninth in the shot put with a toss of 11.16m. Oliver placed ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 13.63m.
