AMHERST, N.Y. — The Daemen men's and women's track & field teams continue their outdoor seasons on Sunday, making the short trip east to compete at the Brockport Multi. 

The Wildcats opened their outdoor season competing at the Charleston (W. Va.) Golden Eagle Invitational last Friday. 

On the women's side, Patsy Oberholzer (Greece, N.Y.) won the 5000m run with a personal-best time of 18:46.40. The senior finished 32 seconds ahead of the next runner, and her performance earned her a spot on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll. Kylie Piekarski (Lancaster, N.Y.) placed fourth, posting a time of 19:49.15. Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) earned a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:08.10, ranking seventh in the program record book. Mia Wright (Liverpool, N.Y.) came in fourth in the 400m with a time of 59.35 seconds, ranking third in program history. Lia Brasacchio (Victor, N.Y.) placed ninth in the 800m, crossing the finish line in 2:28.18. Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) came in 10th in the 100m hurdles, posting a time of 18.01 seconds. The 4x100 team of Abbie Herman (Hamburg, N.Y), Wright, Maggie Middaugh (Akron, N.Y.), and Schultz finished fifth with a time of 52.62. Kristen Oliver (Massena, N.Y.) took fourth in the hammer throw with a launch of 45.41m, fourth-best in program history. Julia Petry (Batavia, N.Y.) finished two spots behind Oliver in the hammer with a toss of 44.49m, good for fifth in the program record book. Petry also took ninth in the shot put with a launch of 10.88m, eighth in program history. In the long jump, Savage placed fifth, leaping 4.97m, ranking eighth in program history. Gracie Conlan (Frewsburg, N.Y.) finished one spot behind her with a 4.96m jump, falling ninth in the program records.

For the men, Daemen logged two top-10 finishes in the 5000m run, led by Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio), finishing fifth with a time of 15:58.51. Simon Evans (Galway, N.Y.) placed ninth, crossing the finish in 16:15.74. CJ Johnson (Baltimore, Md.) took seventh in the 800m with a personal-best time of 1:58.56. In the 1500m, Johnson crossed the finish line seventh with a time of 4:02.96, the second-best in program history behind the record he holds. Adam Kamagate (Hilton, N.Y.) earned a sixth-place finish in the 1110m hurdles, posting a time of 15.46 seconds. Kamagate also placed seventh in the 400m hurdles, crossing the finish in 57.57 seconds. The Wildcats' 4x100 relay team of Davis, Owen Dernbach (Alden, N.Y.), Seth Connery (North Tonawanda, N.Y.), and Avon Adams (Tonawanda, N.Y.) placed fifth, finishing in 44.80.

Daemen's outdoor schedule will continue next Friday at the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational on April 17 and the Cardinal Classic, hosted by St. John Fisher, on April 25. The ECC Outdoor Championships will be held on Thursday, April 30, in Rochester, N.Y., and hosted by Roberts Wesleyan.
