INDIANOLA, PA - The wins keep on piling up for the Daemen women's soccer team as the Wildcats won their sixth consecutive game today in a 2-1 final over the host Point Park Pioneers. With the win, Daemen adds to their program-record win total for the season as they now sit at 13-3 overall and 9-1 in the American Mideast Conference.

Junior striker Kelsey O'Leary (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia HS) got Daemen on the board when she headed in a crossing feed from senior Jenelle Masi (Greece, NY/Greece Athena HS) in the seventh minute of the contest. Shortly thereafter, in the 27th minute, O'Leary used her head again, this time on a crossing feed from sophomore Samantha Engel (Dryden, NY/Dryden HS) to put Daemen ahead 2-0.

Point Park responded with a goal from Megan Kuntz, her fifth of the season in the 34th minute. The Wildcats were able to hold the lead from there with freshman goalkeeper Kayla Hampton (DeRuyter, NY/DeRuyter HS) making five saves, three in the second half, to preserve the win.

"It was difficult playing back-to-back days but we were able to come away with two wins on this trip," said Daemen head coach Dan Dolan, referring to yesterday's 4-1 romp over Carlow. "Alexa Amato (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island HS) gave us a great performance at center midfield, filling in for Lindsay Miller (Pocono Lake, PA/Pocono Mountain West HS) who missed the game because of a red card she received yesterday."

O'Leary's tallies give her 12 goals on the season and three in the last two games. It was also her second multi-goal game of the season.

With two games remaining in the regular season, Daemen remains atop the conference standings with Houghton (14-3, 9-2) nipping at their heels. The Wildcats close out the regular season with two home contests next week - vs. Roberts Wesleyan on Tuesday and vs. Fisher on Saturday.
