BOX SCORE vs ALFREDBOX SCORE vs LA ROCHEWILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Newcomer
Karli Hollins (Orchard Park, N.Y./SUNY Geneseo) led the Daemen College women's tennis team to a pair of victories today as the Wildcats completed a clean sweep of their three matches at the Daemen/Medaille Invitational held at Miller Tennis Center over the last several days. For her efforts, Hollins was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Making her debut for the Wildcats in this weekend's action, she dropped only two sets in her three No. 1 singles matches, while also teaming with
Hayle Scanlan (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) to sweep all three of their No. 1 doubles matches. Hollins' singles wins today came over Alfred's Emma Jackson (6-0, 6-2) and Sarah Brunner (6-0, 6-0) of La Roche.
In today's opener vs. Alfred, the Wildcats also got singles victories from Scanlan,

Maria McGrath (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport), and Ringler and Washington.
Joining Hollins on the all-tournament team were the Wildcats' Scanlan and Ringler, as well as Medaille's Liz Barrett and Alfred's Cook and Jackson.
The wins today propelled Daemen to 8-10 overall this season which equals their win total from all of 2013-14 when the team went 8-15 in its second season of competition after becoming a varsity sport at Daemen in 2012-13.
