Karli Hollins has a team-best 12 singles' victories this season Women's Tennis 2/27/2016 10:31:00 PM Women's Tennis Has Win Streak Snapped WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – In their first match in almost a week, Daemen College fell to Le Moyne College 8-1 in non-conference women's tennis action at Miller Tennis center tonight, snapping the Wildcats' modest three-match winning streak.The MVP from last week's Daemen/Medaille Invitational, Karli Hollins (Orchard Park, N.Y./SUNY Geneseo), posted the Wildcats' lone point tonight, winning her No. 1 singles match over Le Moyne's Tiffany Dun 6-2, 6-4. The win gives Hollins a season record of 12-6, becoming the team leader in most singles victories this season.Le Moyne swept through the remainder of singles play this evening to secure the victory.The match began with Le Moyne scoring three points for wins in all three doubles matches. Teammates Hollins and Hayle Scanlan (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) fell in first doubles. Although the result was a loss, the pairing of Hollins and Scanlan put them at a strong 12-8 record on the year. The duo Jessica Robins (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) and Gretchen Ringler (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) recorded the most points for the Wildcats with an 8-4 loss in second doubles.Daemen now has an 8-12 overall record this season, while Le Moyne improved to 9-8 with their victory tonight.
