Women's Tennis Hosts R.I.T. For Second Time This Spring

THE SERVE: The Daemen College women's tennis team hosts Rochester Institute of Technology for the second time in less than three weeks this weekend...the dual match, originally scheduled for 6 p.m. at Daemen's indoor facility (Miller Tennis Center), has been moved outdoors to the Sweet Home High School Courts and will begin at 2 p.m.

Saturday, March 12 (at Sweet Home High School Courts - Amherst, N.Y.)

ALL-TIME SERIES: Saturday's match marks the second all-time meeting between Daemen and RIT...the first meeting occurred less than three weeks ago on Feb. 21 at Miller Tennis Center as part of the Daemen/Medaille Invitational...Daemen came away with a 7-2 victory to secure its third-straight team title at the event, getting singles victories from Karli Hollins, Hayle Scanlan, Gretchen Ringler, Jessica Robins and Aman Shamaa.

SENIOR SALUTE: Saturday's match marks the final home contest in the careers of Daemen's Maria McGrath and Aman Shamaa...both players will be honored in a brief pre-match ceremony.
