Daemen: Â Stephanie Albano enters her first season as the head women's volleyball coach at Daemen...she was promoted to the position after serving as the Associate Head Coach in 2015...a Western New York native, she led Lancaster High School to the 2004 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class AA championship...she went on to help the University of North-Carolina-Chapel Hill capture two Atlantic Coast Conference championships throughout her college career (2005-2009)...previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Buffalo in 2014...helped the Bulls to a 17-15 record and the program's first Mid-American Conference Tournament appearance since 2010...began her coaching debut at Canisius College as an assistant from 2009-10...later was the Associate Head Coach at Medaille from 2012-2014...helped the Mavericks earn their first ever AMCC championship and NCAA tournament appearance..assisted by 2014 Daemen graduate Kaley Vazquez and Don Gleason.
Molloy: Â Billy Corraro is now in his sixth season as the head women's volleyball coach at Molloy...he entered the 2016 campaign with the second-most wins by a head coach (women's volleyball) with 43...also coaches the Island Volleyball Girls 18-1 National Team...previously served as an assistant coach at Adelphi University for four years...the Panthers made an appearance in the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship all four seasons...graduated from St. John's University, where he was a former track and field athlete...began his volleyball coaching debut as the head junior varsity coach at St. Anthony's High School.
Queens: After serving as the interim head coach in 2015, Jason Octave began his first official season as head volleyball coach…a Queens College alum, he starred for the Knights' men's volleyball team from 2002-2005…the native from St. Lucia still competes as a member of the St. Lucian national team, playing at the regional and international level…served as an assistant coach at St. Francis Prep High School from 2003-2006…in 2013 he returned to St. Francis prep to coach the junior varsity girls team…played professional volleyball in Germany and Puerto Rico following graduation from Queens. |

| Daemen returns seven players to the 2016 squad while adding seven new faces...four starters return as well as the Wildcats' top libero...the Wildcats were recently voted to finish fourth in the East Conference this season, according to the ECC preseason poll, after compiling a 12-17 overall and 7-9 conference record in 2015...ECC Rookie of the Year Ashley Drzymala, returns as a powerhouse outside hitter after a stellar freshman season...Drzymala led the league in both kills per set (3.60) and service aces per set (0.51) while racking up 12 double-doubles...the Wildcats also welcome back her sister, senior leader Amber Drzymala who finished second on the team in total attacks (934), kills (257) and kills per set (2.60)...junior Katie Mckrell returns at the setting position...the three-time ECC Setter of the Week in 2015 became the fifth player in team history to reach over 1,000 helpers in a single season...rounding out the returning starters is junior middle blocker/right-side hitter Rachel Stephenson who registered 31 blocks, ranking second behind graduate Ye Wang in 2015...sophomore libero Kailey Ballou is back after a strong defensive showing in 2015, highlighting the season with a pair of 22-dig performances...seven newcomers include four who have state championships under their belt, a Division I transfer, a strong setter from a commanding Colorado program, and a 6-foot-2 Romanian Junior National Team player...after going 5-3 over their first eight matches, Daemen has gone 1-2 since Sept. 14...a grueling five-set defeat at Le Moyne opened the span....Daemen held a 2-0 lead before Le Moyne rallied for the five-set victory...Amber Drzymala (18 kills, 12 digs), Ashley Drzymala (11 kills, 14 digs) and Bailey Dolegowski (52 assists, 15 digs) posted double-doubles for Daemen in defeat...the Wildcats rebounded with a 3-0 win at California (Pa.) on Sept. 17...the Drzymala sisters combined for 26 kills while Dolegowski registered 32 assists in the win...Dolegowski (Setter of the Week) and Amber Drzymala (Player of the Week) earned weekly honors from the ECC for Sept. 12-19...Daemen is coming off a three-set loss earlier this week to a Gannon team that advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last season...Daemen was led by Ashley Drzymala's 13 kills, eight digs and two service aces…the middle-blocking duo of Cristina Apostol and Courtney Bernard recorded three-blocks apiece, good for season-highs...the Drzymala sisters continue to shine both offensively and defensively this season...Ashley leads the team in kills (134) and kills per set (3.12), ranking sixth among all ECC players in the latter...she's also one of three players with over 100 digs already this season...Amber ranks seventh in the ECC in kills per set (3.10) and has posted 127 total kills thus far...her 119 digs rank second on the team, behind freshman libero Jess Kranz (131)...for her career to date, Amber has posted 796 kills and 941 digs...Dolegowski has paced the Daemen setters with 324 assists, and she ranks third in the ECC in assists per set (8.76)...in the middle, Bernard leads the league in hitting percentage (.329) heading into this weekend's matches...her 97 kills rank third on the team, while she leads the Wildcats in total blocks with 25...additional production has come from Courtney Scanlan (95 kills, .207 hitting percentage) and Apostol (61 kills, 15 blocks). |

| MOLLOY SCOUTING REPORT (2-11, 0-0 ECC) |
| The Lions return six players from the 2015 squad who posted a 6-23 overall record and 4-12 mark in East Coast Conference play...Molloy welcomes eight new freshmen, adding depth all-around...of Molloy's six-wins last year, two included a sweep of ECC rival Roberts Wesleyan…a straight-set loss to NYIT brought the 2015 season to a close…the Lions were picked sixth in the ECC preseason poll out of a possible 8 teams…MC has two upperclassmen in senior Danielle Williams and junior Dakota O'Neill…O'Neill returns as the key defensive specialist, she ranked first on the squad in digs with 430...also back are sophomores Jeanna Reinis and Carly Banks who finished the 2015 season with 242 and 185 kills respectively…they finished second and third on the team in total kills in 2015…the lions opened up the 2016 year with 8 consecutive losses…they defeated Nyack College to secure their first win…freshman Devon Hagerstorm, notched 11 kills and a .474 hitting percentage in the victory…Molloy beat Bloomfield College in a five-set thriller to earn their second win…Williams led the team with 16 kills and nine digs, making her first appearance in 2016…first year setter Sophia Smith dished out 48 assists and registered 17 digs…she has seven double-doubles thus far…Molly is coming off a three-set defeat to Adelphi University on September 20…Shannon Wren ranks first on the team with 128 kills, she posted a career best 15 kills on two different occasions…Hagerstorm, Hailey Wehr and Reinis round out the Lions offense…O'Neill continues to lead defensive efforts with 204 season digs for a 4.34 digs per set…Smith has tallied 374 helpers good for a team-best. |

| QUEENS SCOUTING REPORT (2-8, 0-0 ECC) |
| The Knights return five players from last season, and adds five fresh faces to make up the 2016, 10-member squad…the team finished with an 11-15 overall mark, and 7-99 record, just missing the championship bracket…in 2015 six players registered over 1000 kills, ten players saw action in over 20 matches, and five players had over 100 digs…Queens was selected to finish fifth in the ECC preseason poll…among the returners is senior middle blocker Tori Bowser, she registered 168 kills in 76 sets of action…juniors Kristen Moore and Ragina Anthony are back for the Knights…Moore finished the 2015 campaign with 323 assists, 143 digs and 22 service aces…Nicoletta DiCocco and Malaika Hollis round out the returners as the sophomore class…DiCocco produced offensively and defensively, recording 140 kills and 84 digs…Hollis, a versatile player had 132 kills, 13 assists, 20 aces 11 total blocks and 170 digs in her freshman campaign…Queens opened up their 2016 stampede going 2-2 at the LI Invitational…the Knights have lost six consecutive matches since their 3-0 win over Chestnut Hill…the team has registered 409 kills, 365 assists, and 520 digs in 37 sets of action…DiCocco leads the team in kills with 114, for a team-high 3.08 kills per set…freshmen Cassidy Stewart and Lauren Kehoe have made immediate impacts offensively, tallying 76 and 66 kills respectively…Moore continues to pace the offense, dishing out 322 helpers this season…Anthony stars at the Libero position with 150 digs thus far.  |
