From the desk of the Director of Athletics…

Happy Holidays Wildcat fans. The focus of this month's Paw Prints is straight from the NCAA Division II Strategic Positioning Platform. This platform is the bedrock of our own strategic initiatives and the six attributes are the foundation of what we do for our student-athletes each and every day. The attribute we love to teach the most is resourcefulness. One of our many mottos within Daemen Athletics is to either find a way to accomplish our goals or make one.

The goal we are faced with this current academic year is to further increase….promise me that you will keep reading once this word is stated….fundraising! Although Daemen Athletics has never been stronger with a record number of student-athletes on campus, and external revenues that have never been stronger (25% higher than last year's record year), Daemen is a private college in New York State, and private colleges here are facing challenging times. Daemen Athletics wants to make sure the positive path of growth that has occurred over the past four years is maintained and that our student-athletes continue to benefit from the incredible learning and competitive experiences that makes up Daemen College.

Focusing on resourcefulness, our staff has spent the past few months building various pathways for Wildcat fans to support Daemen Athletics. Below are four easy ways to support Daemen Athletics this holiday season. Resourceful at its core, many do not require you to do anything differently while you shop, and some offer incredible savings to you as Wildcat fans.

Amazon Smile: At NO cost to you, you can support Daemen College each time you shop on Amazon. Just sign-up for the Amazon Smile program and designate Daemen College as your Amazon Smile charity. Amazon donates to Daemen each time you shop. Amazon Smile works with Amazon Prime and other Amazon programs.

Tony Walker Company's iWorldFundraising: One of the best places to shop in Western New York is Tony Walker Stores. Thanks to the generosity of the Walker Family Trust, shoppers can now benefit Daemen Athletics either through a direct donation or purchasing gifts from Tony Walker affiliates through the Daemen Athletics iWorldFundraising site. Daemen receives 50 percent of each item purchased on the site.

Daemen Athletics Team Store: Looking to give some Daemen gear as presents this holiday? Don't forget to shop at our Daemen Wildcats store at www.shopdaemenwildcats.com Proceeds from each sale go directly to Daemen Athletics.

Give on Giving Tuesday: In the giving mood and just looking for an easy way to support your favorite Wildcat team? Daemen Athletics provides two ways to support the Wildcats. Daemen College just unveiled a new direct giving website which can be accessed by clicking here and selecting Athletics Annual Fund. If you would like to support a gift in honor of or to be applied to a specific sport chose the "Tribute Gift" option.

Thanks in advance for supporting Daemen Athletics this holiday season. We work hard each day to operate an athletics program that provides an incredible learning and competitive experience for our student-athletes.
