Boyar, who was also named the East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, notched three goals over two games last week while leading Daemen to non-conference victories over Lake Erie College (2-1, OT) and Tiffin University (2-0).  Boyar registered the "golden goal" to win Friday's game against Storm, scoring on a penalty kick in the 96th minute of the contest. She then tallied a pair of goals in Sunday's win over Tiffin, marking the second multi-goal game of her career. Boyar was nominated for the Hero of the Week award Tuesday. She gathered 755 votes, accounting for 54.99 percent of the vote. Additional nominees for the Hero of the Week award included Heather Dawson of St. Mary's University, Whitney Fleming of Saginaw Valley State University, Alex Johnson of Maryville University, Carolina Lucci of Chowan College, Alex Manoa of Notre Dame College and Jeanine Nunez of Adelphi University.
