Head coachÂ
Bobby McColl returns for his third season on the Daemen sidelines in 2018, and his seventh overall as a collegiate head coach. McColl heads into the 2018 season with a career coaching record of 54-52-8 with previous stops as the head men's coach at Greenville College (2012) and the head women's coach at Roberts Wesleyan College (2013-15). In 2017, he led Daemen to records of 7-11 (overall) and 3-6 (ECC). The team's overall win total matched the program record for wins in a season.Â

Following a vote of the league's head coaches, Daemen has beenÂ
picked to finish 9th in the East Coast Conference this season. The Wildcats went 7-11 overall and 3-6 in league play last season. The University of the District of Columbia was picked to finish first edging out last year's champions LIU Post by five votes.

The Wildcats return 14 sophomores to the roster, the majority of which gained valuable playing experience last season. The group is headlined by forward/defenderÂ
Noah Keem who tallied a team-high nine goals and 22 points last season en route to third team All-ECC honors. The Wildcats also return starting midfieldersÂ
Anthony Cupello andÂ
Niklas Ringdahl Bohlin; the two started all 18 games for the Wildcats last season and were top two on the team in assists with 15 combined between them. Cupello's nine helpers ranked fourth among all ECC players. Also back is sophomore forwardÂ
Finn Krueger who scored five goals and notched 14 points.Â

Jarrett Lecceadone (Randolph, N.Y.) is the lone returner among four goalkeepers on the roster this season. Lecceadone appeared in nine games and made five starts as a true freshman in 2017, posting a save percentage of .682 and a 2.38 goals against average. FreshmenÂ

Philipp Schmidt has started all five games this season recording a 1.81 GAA and 19 saves.
DAEMEN WINS FIRST ECC GAME
The Wildcats won its first ECC game of season after they hosted Molloy. Daemen got two goals from sophomore forward
Noah Keem for his first two goals of the season.
LOCK HAVEN SCOUTING REPORT
Lock Haven University is in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, and it is coached by Patrick Long in his third year as the Bald Eagles head coach. During his tenure, Long has led the Bald Eagles to an 11-19-5 overall and 6-14-2 in PSAC East play. The Bald Eagles return all but six players, three seniors, from the 2017 squad. Â Among the returners from last season are sophomore midfielder and forwards Beckham Sibiski and Reginald Holt who both lead the team in goals and points this season. However, senior goalkeeper from 2017 Troy Teresak graduated giving the reins to redshirt sophomore Camden Cook. The Bald Eagles were picked to finish seventh out of 12 in the PSAC preseason coach's poll. Gannon, who the Wildcats beat last week, was picked to finish second in the PSAC. Lock Haven started off its season 3-2-1 with losses against fellow opponent Le Moyne and ECC member NYIT. The Wildcats lost to Lock Haven in its only game back in 2016, which was the season opener.
