ROCHESTER ALUMNI INVITATIONAL - FULL RESULTS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational today. The Wildcats competed in only six events, primarily in the field, out of the 21 events offered. The meet featured eight teams from the Division II and III levels, and Daemen placed sixth with 29 points.
The Wildcats got its only first-place finish today from Taylor Haude (Rochester, N.Y.) as she returned to her hometown. Haude, who holds the team pole-vaulting record at 3.21 meters, cleared 2.75 meters today to top the field.
Betty Jones (Camillus, N.Y.) and Hannah Miller (Seneca Falls, N.Y.) both grabbed top-seven finishes in the hammer throw which featured 20 other athletes. Jones finished sixth with a 37.33-meter throw and Miller finished seventh with a 36.72-meter throw.
Miller went on to finish seventh in the shot put with a 9.86-meter throw.
Katja Meyer (Verona, N.Y.) finished sixth out of 11 competitors in the long jump, leaping 4.58 meters. Maddie Ewing (Mt. Morris, N.Y.) finished ninth with a 4.25-meter jump.
Sam Carro (Canandaigua, N.Y.) competed in the team's only track event of the day, the 100-meter hurdles. Carro, who holds the team record at 15.73 seconds set back in 2017, finished with a time of 18.22 seconds landing her in fifth place of the seven runners today.
The Wildcats return to action for the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, April 20 in Farmingdale, N.Y.
