DAVE LABOR INVITATIONAL - FULL RESULTS
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Daemen College men's track and field team traveled to Pennsylvania today for the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University. The meet featured 26 teams, and it marked Daemen's third meet of the outdoor season, and their second this week.
Sullivan Keller (Alden, N.Y.) continued his hot start to the outdoor season by breaking another record today. Keller broke a six-year old shot put record earlier this week at the Allegany County Classic with a 14.29-meter throw, then beat that today with a 14.53-meter throw. It landed him a fourth-place finish out of 26 other throwers. Keller also finished sixth out of 22 in the hammer throw with a 43.64-meter toss.
Rodney Corbin (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Ethan Majewski (Pendleton, N.Y.) both achieved top-20 finishes in the 100 meter dash. Corbin's time of 10.98 seconds landed him a sixth-place finish and Majewski's time of 11.35 seconds landed him in 17th with 46 total runners.
Majewski and Corbin also had top-20 finishes in the 200 meter dash. Majewski finished 10th with a time of 22.59 seconds, only .04 seconds off his team-record time, and Corbin finished 16th with a time of 22.90 seconds. There were 48 total runners.
Corbin wrapped up his day in the long jump with an 11th-place finish out of 27 other jumpers with a 6.07-meter jump.
Jonny Schmidt (Clarence Center, N.Y.) and Drew Greenaway (Brooklyn, N.Y.) both had top-15 finishes in the 400 meter run out of 25 other runners. Schmidt finished 12th with a time of 53.05 seconds and Greenaway finished 14th with a time of 53.82 seconds.
Mike Swiniarksi (Akron, N.Y.) wrapped up the day with an 11th-place finish in the 5,000 meter run. He finished with a time of 16:55.83.
The Wildcats' next meet will be at the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational on Sunday, April 14 beginning at 9 a.m.
