DAVE LABOR INVITATIONAL - FULL RESULTS

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Hannah Miller (Seneca Falls, N.Y.), Katja Meyer (Verona, N.Y.) and Nazjahe Boswell (Rochester, N.Y.) were all in the record-setting mood today as the Daemen College women's track and field team continued its outdoor season at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University. The meet featured 26 teams including Daemen, and it marked Daemen's third meet of the season, and their second this week

Miller competed against 26 other throwers in the hammer throw, and placed sixth with a record-breaking toss of 39.95 meters. She eclipsed her own previous record of 38.69 meters set last spring at the Alfred State Invitational. Miller went on to post top-25 finishes in the discus (18th) and shot put (23rd). Betty Jones (Camillus, N.Y.) also competed in the hammer throw, finishing 13th with a throw of 32.84.

Meyer broke Carrie Akin's previous triple jump record of 10.76 meters today. Akin set the record at the Buffalo Invitational in April 2018. Meyer's new record of 10.78 placed her third out of 16 other jumpers today. She also placed 16th in the long jump with a 4.59-meter jump.

Boswell continued her stellar rookie campaign by placing ninth in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Her 200 meter time of 26.30 seconds eclipsed the previous team record of 26.33 seconds set by Tiffany Cycon in 2017. Boswell completed the 100 meter dash in 12.64 seconds today. Just three outdoor meets into her collegiate career, Boswell already holds both the 100 and 200 meter team records.

Today's pole vault competition featured Taylor Haude (Rochester, N.Y.) and Kyra Kress (Wayland, N.Y.), both of whom have earned all-conference honors during their careers. The duo finished tied for fifth out of 17 competitors today, having each cleared 3.15 meters, just shy of Haude's team record (3.21 meters). Kress also competed in the 400 meter hurdles, placing sixth out of 19 runners with a time of 1:08.39.

Sarah Golas (Alden, N.Y.) finished 11th for the Wildcats today in the 5,000 meter run. Golas ended with a time of 20:34.61 and competed against 28 other runners.

Savannah Warner (Elma, N.Y.) competed in the 800 meters, finishing 19th out of 67 runners with a time of 2:24.67. Kassandra Nolet (Fort Erie, Ont.) finished 25th out of 67 runner in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:10.75.
