HARRY F. ANDERSON INVITATIONAL - FULL RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Junior Mike Swiniarski (Akron, N.Y.) recorded a top-50 effort to lead the Daemen College men's cross country team at the Harry F. Invitational Invitational held today on the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College. Roberts Wesleyan took top honors today after placing five runners among the top eight finishers. They were led by race winner Christopher Simms who paced the field with a time of 25:15.7. The 8K race featured 21 schools and 252 total competitors. Daemen placed 15th as a team.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Swiniarski was the top performer for the Wildcats, placing 44th overall with a time of 27:34.7. It marks the second time this season and the sixth time in his career that he has finished a race in under 28 minutes. Swiniarski has now been Daemen's top finisher in 10 consecutive races dating back to the 2018 season opener. 
• Redshirt junior Cale Silvestri (Elma, N.Y.) broke the 30-minute barrier for the second-straight race and placed 103rd with a time of 29:15.1. Silvestri posted a season-best time of 29:06.1 last week at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational.
• Freshmen Aidan Van Slycke (Irving, N.Y.), Alexander Reynolds (Olean, N.Y.) and John Bruggman (Batavia, N.Y.) figured in the scoring for the third consecutive race. Van Slycke placed 140th with a time of 30:29.9. Reynolds posted a season-best time of 31:05.8 and placed 158th, while Bruggman placed 167th with a time of 31:27.4. Reynolds knocked 33 seconds off his previous best time of 31:38.0 he posted in the season-opening Doug Watts Open.

The Wildcats are idle until Oct. 5 when they take part in the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton College.
