BROCKPORT MULTI -- FULL RESULTS

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's track and field team took part in the Brockport Multi this afternoon. The event was hosted by The College of Brockport. It marks the second time this season and the ninth time over the past four indoor seasons that the Wildcats have traveled to Brockport for an event.

Two top-five finishes by junior sprinter Rodney Corbin (Buffalo, N.Y.) and a school-record effort by senior Sullivan Keller (Alden, N.Y.) in the weight throw highlighted the afternoon for the Wildcats.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Corbin came through with a solid effort in a very competitive 60 meter dash, as he placed fourth with a time of 7.09. He also placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.27. Corbin, who placed first in the 60 meter dash at both the RIT Invitational and the Highlander Invitational earlier this year, has now posted a top-five finish in all of the seven races he has run this season.
  • The 200 meter dash also featured redshirt freshman Mason Storm (South Bristol, N.Y.), who placed 56th (27.74). Storm was also the lone Daemen entrant in the 400 meters and he placed 36th with a time of 1:04.92.
  • Freshmen John Bruggman (Batavia, N.Y.) posted a top-20 finish in the 800 meters, as he placed 18th with a time of 2:06.56. Fellow rookie Dominic Clementi (Barker, N.Y.) also took part in the 800 meters and placed 41st (2:18.02).
  • The 5,000 meter run featured freshmen Aidan Van Slycke (Irving, N.Y.) and Alexander Reynolds (Olean, N.Y.). Van Slycke placed 24th (17:55.42) and Reynolds placed 26th (18:40.69).
  • Senior Josh Bodnar (Filmore, N.Y.) was the lone Daemen runner in the mile, and he placed 41st with a time of 5:05.60.
  • Keller once again turned in solid showings in both the shot put and the weight throw. He placed fifth out of 42 competitors in the shot put with a toss of 14.15 meters. He went on to place sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 14.51 meters, which broke his own school-record of 14.31 that he set at the Houghton December Classic on Dec. 7, 2018. Redshirt sophomore Christopher Labonte (Pendleton, N.Y.) also took part in the shot put and placed 37th (9.26 m).
  • Sophomore Henry Moffitt (Sydney, Australia), who set the school-record in the high jump earlier this year, did not compete today as he was traveling with the men's volleyball team.
  • Sophomore Zach Brainard (Lancaster, N.Y.) and freshman Clarence Denis both took part in the long jump. Brainard placed 27th (5.66 m), while Denis finished 32nd (4.50 m).
