Men's Tennis Spring Schedule Released Wildcats Open Spring Season Feb. 3 Against RIT 1/6/2023 12:03:00 PM AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen University men's tennis team will open the Spring semester portion of its 2022-23 season by hosting Division III Rochester Institute of Technology on Friday, February 3 at Miller Tennis Center, the first of 19 matches announced today by second-year head coach Richard Greco, Jr. The spring slate includes matches against opponents from all three NCAA divisions and five of the contests will be played at home. After opening with RIT, the Wildcats will take on Division I Niagara University the next day (Feb. 4). Daemen will travel to Division III Saint Lawrence University on Feb. 11, before closing out the month on the road against Division II Mercyhurst University (Feb. 18 ) and Edinboro University (Feb. 26). March opens with back-to-back matches at Kutztown University (Mar. 4) and Adelphi University (Mar. 5), before hosting Houghton University on March 15 and Bloomsburg University on March 17. The Wildcats open East Coast Conference play at home against the University of the District of Columbia on March 25. A busy month of April will feature eight matches. The Wildcats open the month with three-straight league matches on the road. Daemen visits Queens College (April 1) and Saint Thomas Aquinas College (April 2) to open the month, and then plays at District of Columbia on April 7. The Wildcats return to non-conference play when they take a trip to play Southern Virginia University (April 11) and Shenandoah University (April 12), before closing out their ECC slate by hosting Queens on April 15. The regular-season comes to a close with a trip to Manchester, N.H. for non-league matches against Franklin Pierce University and Southern New Hampshire University on April 17. All four ECC teams will automatically qualify for the ECC tournament which is slated for April 21-22 at Queens.
