BACK IN ACTION
The Daemen University women's bowling team concludes their fall slate by hosting the Daemen Storm Fall Classic from Nov. 23 through Nov. 24.Â
LAST TIME OUT
In their lone dual match of the fall, the Daemen defeated Roberts Wesleyan in two of three matches back on Nov. 10. The Redhawks opened the day with a 914-856 win in the first match of the day. Graduate studentÂ
Mollie Gizicki (Brighton, Mich.) led the Blue and White with 204 pins. Daemen rebounded in the next match with a resounding 950-872 victory. Gizicki and sophomoreÂ
Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) led the Cats with 202 and 204 pins, respectively. The Cats ended the day on a high note with a 864-809 win over their regional rivals. JuniorÂ
Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) and Gizicki each knocked down a team-best 191 pins in the winning effort.Â
ONE MORE RANKED TEST
Daemen will welcome Lewis University, who received votes to appear in the National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 poll and was tabbed ninth in the NTCA's Division II/III poll, to Western New York. The Flyers are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and so far this season has picked up 13 wins. This season, the Blue and White have faced at least one ranked opponent in every competition dating back to Mercyhurst Invitational.Â
NEW AND OLD FACES
The Wildcats welcomed two new faces to the team this offseason with the additions ofÂ
Faith Oranye (Washington, N.J.) andÂ
Cassandra Westphal (Spencerport, N.Y.). Daemen also returns eight players from last season includingÂ
Mollie Gizicki (Brighton, Mich.),who was an All-ECC selection for the Blue and White last season, andÂ
Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y. ) who completed a team-high 361 frames last season.Â

WENT TO THE POLLS
The Daemen University women's bowling team was tabbed fourth in the 2024-25 East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced on Sept. 30. It marks the third straight year that the Wildcats were predicted to finish in the top half of the league. It also marks the first time the Wildcats have been tabbed to finish in fourth since the 2018-19 campaign. Bryant University topped the poll with 76 points and seven of nine possible first-place votes. Kutztown University was tabbed second with 66 points and one first-place vote while Molloy University rounded out the top three with 60 points. Daemen was named fourth with 51 points and a first-place vote while local rival Roberts Wesleyan University rounded out the top five with 48 points. D'Youville University (40 points), Adelphi University (30), St. Anselm College (23) and St. Thomas Aquinas College (11) rounded out the remainder of the poll.
