The Daemen University women's tennis team heads one hour south to face SUNY Fredonia on Sept. 28 with the match set to start at 10 a.m.

CLOSING IN ON HISTORY
Scime currently sits seven wins away from claiming the program record for singles wins with 50. Currently, the Williamsville, N.Y., native, has 43 career singles wins which ties her with Gretchen Ringler (2014-18) for third all-time. Christina Stasiuk (2017-22) holds the program record for career singles wins with 49. This season, Scime is 5-1 with a 4-1 mark on No. 2 singles and 1-0 ledger at No. 1 singles.
HONOR ROLL
Rubio was tabbed to the East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Honor Roll this past week. The San Diego, Calif., native went 1-1 at both No. 1 singles and doubles for the week. Rubio took down UDC's No. 1 Desire Parn, 6-3, 6-3, in her first conference match and added a win at No. 1 doubles with partner
Bella Bjerkan (Elmhurst, Ill.) against West Virginia Wesleyan, 6-2, to improve to 3-2 this season.
WILDCATS IN THE POLLS
The Wildcats were tabbed fourth in the 2024 East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll following a vote of the leagues six coaches back on Aug. 19. Greco has led Daemen to the postseason all three years while at the helm of the program, qualifying as the fourth seed last season. Queens College, the defending ECC Regular Season champions, received four first-place votes and topped the poll with 34 points. Defending ECC Tournament champions St. Thomas Aquinas College finished second in the poll, garnering two first-place votes (31 points) and the University of the District of Columbia (24 points) rounded out the top three. The ECC Women's Tennis Championship is set for Oct. 25-26 in Flushing, N.Y., with the top four teams qualifying.
SCOUTING FREDONIA
The Blue Devils currently sit at 4-4 on the year but have lost their last two matches with a 5-2 setback at SUNY Cortland and 4-3 loss at Penn State Behrend. Prior to the season, Fredonia was tabbed seventh of seven teams in the SUNYAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll, amassing seven points.
SERIES HISTORY
Daemen is 4-2 all-time against Fredonia and has won the last four matches. Last year, the Wildcats swept the Blue Devils, 9-0, with the match using NCAA Division III scoring rules.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats are back in action with a pair of ECC contests next week, starting with an 8 a.m. match against reigning ECC champions Queens College on Oct. 4.
