ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio) of the Daemen University men's cross country team paced the Wildcats with a personal-best time of 26:22.5 as Daemen placed 13th out of 25 teams and posted a team score of 364 at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational.

Cornell won the meet, placing their entire top seven runners in the top-10 of the race to finish with a team score of 17. SUNY Geneseo placed second (66) and host Roberts Wesleyan finished third as a team with 122 points. East Coast Conference Preseason Runner of the Year Owen White finished fourth overall and was the only Division II runner to place in the top 10.
Keating led the way for Daemen, finishing 49th out of 334 runners as he shaved 31.6 seconds off his previous 8K PR time (26:54.1) set at the East Coast Conference Championships in 2023. Graduate student
Jon Moote (Wilson, N.Y.) finished second on the team, crossing the finish line with a time of 26:45.3 to place 68th overall.
Junior
Josh Trometer (Lancaster, N.Y.) ran a PR time of 27:26.8 to place 117th, shaving 17 seconds off his previous best (27:44.0) set at the 2023 Highlander Invitational.
Placing fourth on the team was junior
Aidan Kincaid (Orchard Park, N.Y.), who crossed the line at 27:45.7, good for 133rd overall. Graduate student
David Schwinger (Buffalo, N.Y.) rounded out Daemen's scoring with a time of 29:11.1 to place 217th.
Sophomore
Brad Tobin (Hamburg, N.Y.), graduate student
Laertes Cushing (Alfred, N.Y.) and senior
Steven Blatto (Lancaster, N.Y.) also competed for the Wildcats today, with Tobin finishing sixth on the team at 29:50.5 (243rd overall), Cushing placing 264th at 30:33.7 and Blatto crossing at 30:45.1 to place 266th today.
The Wildcats will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. next Saturday, Oct. 5 to run in the Paul Short Run.
