HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The Daemen University men's track and field team continued their indoor season by competing at the Highlander Invitational held at the Kerr-Pegula Field House on the campus of Houghton University.

Graduate student John Jaworski (Naperville, Ill.) picked up a pair of first-place finishes in the 60 meters dash and 200 meters while sophomore Tyler Prescott (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) placed second in the high jump to highlight the Wildcats performances.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Jaworski continued his torrid start to the 2025 indoor season as he nearly broke his own school record in the first round of the 60 meters dash with a time of 6.98 seconds, .03 seconds off his record which he set last weekend at the Winter Welcome Back To Brockport Meet (Jan. 17). In the final, Jaworski secured first-place with a 6.97 seconds, just edging out Ethan Kurtz of Houghton and his time of 7.00.
• In the 200 meters, Jaworski set a new school record as he finished the race with a time of 22.41 seconds, breaking his record time of 22.71 seconds from the weekend before.
• In the 3000 meters race, sophomore Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio) placed seventh with a time of 9:29.48).
• Sophomore CJ Johnson (Baltimore, Md.) turned in a top-10 performance in the mile, coming in 10th with a time of 4:43.57.
• Off the track, Prescott placed second in the high jump with a final height of 1.84 meters. His final height of 1.84 meters is good for third all-time as he passed Henry Moffitt jump of 1.83 meters during the 2019 ECC Championships (Feb. 16, 2019).
