SINKING SPRING, PA. -- The Daemen University women's bowling team opened up team play at the
2025 East Coast Conference Championship tournament today. The three-day event is being hosted by Kutztown University at the Bowlero Berks Lanes. Daemen is one of nine teams in the tournament field and is seeking the first ECC title in program history.
After five rounds of Baker format matches today, the Wildcats sit in sixth out of nine teams after the qualifying round of the tournament. Daemen went 2-2 in head-to-head play and also had a bye match where total pinfall was counted. The Wildcats totaled 4,479 total pins for an average of 179.2 per game. For the second straight season, Daemen earned the No. 6 seed as the tournament shifts to double elimination format on Saturday, March 22.
Daemen opened the day with a loss against Molloy (923-873) but bounced back with a win over Roberts Wesleyan (867-853) in the second round. The Wildcats tallied their second straight win in a 887-868 defeat over Bryant before totaling 1,036 pins in their fourth-round bye. Daemen closed the day with a loss to Adelphi (843-816).

Mollie Gizicki (Brighton, Mich.) earned First Team All-ECC honors for the third time in her Daemen career.
