Geoff Schneider Kamagate Earns Silver Medal at Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup 1/31/2026 6:52:00 PM By: CONTACT: Connor Griffin, Assistant Director of Athletics Communications | cgriffin@daemen.edu ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Daemen men's track and field team competed at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup on Saturday, its final tune-up before the ECC Championship meet in two weeks. Senior Adam Kamagate (Hilton, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats, finishing second in the 60m hurdles. HIGHLIGHTS Kamagate placed seventh in the 60m hurdles preliminaries with a time of 8.98 seconds, before improving to 8.65 seconds in the finals to earn the silver medal. Owen Dernbach (Alden, N.Y.) finished 11th in the 60m dash, crossing the finish line in 7.47 seconds Ibrahim Hakizimana (Rochester, N.Y.) took 15th in the 800m run, finishing with a personal-best time of 1:59.26, shaving 0.51 seconds off his previous PR. Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio) finished 19th in the 1-mile run, posting a time of 4:32.77. Simon Evans (Galway, N.Y.) recorded a 17th-place result in the 3000m run, finishing in 9:15.42. Off the track, Dernbach placed 17th in the long jump with a leap of 5.75m. UP NEXT The Wildcats are off until Feb. 15, when they will compete at the ECC Championship Meet in Staten Island, N.Y.
