FLUSHING, N.Y. -- The Daemen University men's tennis team fell, 0-7, at Queens College on Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 3-10 on the year, while the Knights remain unbeaten and improve to 10-0 this season.
The Knights won all three doubles matches to take the first point of the game. Daemen's No. 1 doubles pairing of
Alex Lumanog (Albuquerque, N.M.) and
Lasse Mergens (Bochum, Germany) put up a fight against Queens' top pair, 3-6. The Wildcats' third doubles pair of
Vondin Henderson (Tonawanda, N.Y.) and
Jordan Hamdan (Johnson City, N.Y.) also fought to a 3-6 loss.
Queens went on to take all six singles match ups over the Wildcats. At top singles, Lumanog battled with Lucas Foix Sotos, with the Daemen senior ultimately falling 3-6, 3-6 to the standout Queens sophomore.
The Wildcats will face St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday at 11 AM in Sparkill, N.Y.
