INDIANOLA, PA - For the first time this season the Daemen Wildcats were kept off the scoresheet when they were defeated 2-0 by the Point Park Pioneers in American Mideast Conference soccer action. Point Park improved to 11-3-1 on the season (6-2-1 in the AMC), while Daemen drops to 3-10, 1-7.
Francis Tabi scored both goals for the Pioneers in the first half as they were able to hang on for the win. Daemen put some pressure on with seven shots on goal, three of which came off the foot of striker
Kyle Clifford.
Daemen's
Matt Daddario made eight saves to keep the Wildcats close, but was the hard luck loser between the pipes.
The Wildcats return to the pitch on Tuesday when they travel to Houghton for another conference matchup vs. the Highlanders. They'll then close out their 2011 regular season at home next Saturday vs. Fisher.
