Box Score

ELMIRA, NY - The Daemen Wildcats fell to 3-7 on the season today after suffering a 6-1 loss to the Elmira Soaring Eagles today at Campus Field.

Elmira (10-3) scored five straight goals from five different goal-scorers before Daemen's Stephen Linderman (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda HS) got the Wildcats on the board in the 85th minute.  Linderman took a feed from Trevor Hill (Courtice, ON/Holy Trinity Catholic SS) and beat the Elmira goalkeeper from the middle of the box.

Elmira added a late tally to provide the final margin.

The Wildcats will look to regroup as they get another shot at USCAA powerhouse Maine-Fort Kent (12-0) this Friday, October 12.  Daemen nearly battled the Bengals to a 0-0 draw in both teams' season opener back on Aug. 31, but UMFK scored in the final minute of the second overtime period to snatch the victory.  The two teams will meet at 2:45pm at the Depew High School Stadium; the game was originally scheduled for Saturday but had to be moved due to a scheduling conflict.
